My name is Oliver Schmidt and I am based in Montreal (Canada). Photography is my second career — and very much a passion project turned something more.

What started as a creative outlet alongside my primary work quickly became a way to connect with people, capture energy, and freeze moments that deserve to be remembered. I don’t approach photography as a rigid process or a checklist. I approach it as an experience — one that should feel fun, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable.

I specialize in portraits of adults, couples, and children, as well as party and event action photography. 

Whether it’s a playful family session, a couple laughing between poses, or the unfiltered moments on a dance floor, I focus on capturing real expressions and real emotions — not stiff smiles.

My goal is simple: to make my models feel comfortable in front of the camera and to create images that feel alive.

I believe the best photos happen when people are having a good time. That’s why my sessions are lighthearted, interactive, and tailored to each person or group. Kids can be kids. Couples can be themselves. Parties can be loud, chaotic, and full of movement — just the way they should be.

While photography isn’t my full-time career, I bring full commitment, attention to detail, and a professional approach to every shoot. Every session matters, and every client gets my complete focus.
